Terms of service

1. What MyMangaBase is

A manga database where the community rates and reviews titles chapter by chapter. We don't host or link scanned pages or unauthorized copies of any work.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 13. If you're a minor under the law of your country, you need your parent's or guardian's permission.
• You're responsible for what's done with your account. An account belongs to one person.
• You can delete your account anytime from Settings.

3. What you post

Your reviews, comments, posts and catalog contributions remain yours. By posting them you give us a non-exclusive, free, worldwide permission to display, store and adapt them to the site's format while they're published. Catalog data (titles, dates, numbers) are facts and are also offered through the API.

You may not post:

• illegal content, content that infringes copyright or third-party rights, or links to unauthorized copies;
• insults, harassment, discrimination, threats or other people's personal data;
• spoilers outside the places marked for them;
• spam, unauthorized advertising or manipulated votes (multiple accounts, bots, vote trading).

4. Moderation

We may hide or remove content that breaks these terms and suspend or close accounts that break them, with or without notice depending on severity. If you think we got it wrong, write to us.

5. Intellectual property

The works, their titles, covers and images belong to their authors and publishers; we show them for identification and commentary. Data from other sources is used under their licenses, listed in Sources & licenses. The MyMangaBase design, code and brand are ours.

6. Supporter subscription

• The subscription is optional and billed in advance, monthly or yearly depending on the plan you choose. It renews automatically until you cancel.
• You can cancel anytime from Your subscription; the benefits last until the end of the paid period.
• International card payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as merchant of record and applies its own terms; payments in Argentine pesos, by Mercado Pago.
• If you're a consumer in Argentina, you can revoke the purchase within 10 calendar days at no cost and without giving a reason (Law 24,240, art. 34), using the Cancel a purchase link at the bottom of every page. For API packs, see section 7.

7. API

• API use is subject to your plan's limits and the published documentation.
• Your keys are personal and secret: you're responsible for how they're used.
• Extra request packs are only charged after you confirm them, and the requests are added instantly.
• If you revoke a pack purchase within 10 days, we refund the part proportional to the requests you haven't used yet, and those requests are removed from your account. Requests already used aren't refunded, because the service has already been provided.
• You may not use the API to resell the full catalog as a competing service or to get around its limits.

8. Acceptable use

Don't try to access parts of the site that aren't yours, overload it, scrape its content outside the API or interfere with how it works.

9. Warranties and liability

The site is provided as is. We take care with the data, but it may contain errors or gaps, and the site may be unavailable at times. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect damages arising from using the site. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under consumer protection law.

10. Changes

We may change these terms; we update the date at the top and announce significant changes. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
